How To Change The World

"God, you must change people, for there is so much evil." Max often prayed, "And most people think stupid thoughts and do stupid things."

Then one day, the commanding voice of God spoke:

"Max, I don't change people, I encourage them to learn from their experiences and to change themselves. Otherwise they would never grow."

"But look what a mess the world is in," Max whispered. "It is a mess, "answered God, "For it is a work in progress."

"Max, if you want people to change, it is you who must change by living the ideals you wish them to become."

"Love, compassion and forgiveness are wonderful places to begin."

"And you must become an optimist, because pessimists never uplift mankind, they just complain."

"If you will do those simple things, mankind will change through your example, and there will be a better world."
