Cell Phone Use On The Moon

In the news, Bell Labs with the support of NASA is building a 4G cellular network on the Moon. This means that despite being over 238,000 miles away, communication with the Earth can be instantaneous.

In a related story, here on Earth, my cell phone dropped some local calls today, and in the area near my home, my cell phone is completely inoperable without my home Wi-Fi, as local technology continues to lag.

I am comforted, however, knowing that by year end 2026, during the times my cell phone is operable, I can call or FaceTime anyone on the Moon.
