According to The World Surf League, Australian pro surfer Laura Enever broke the world record when she surfed a 43 foot wave in Hawaii in January.
The 31 year old told The Washington Post, that “I knew it when it picked me up that it was a massive wave.“
In a related story, I intended to be as courageous as Laura Enever, but yesterday, a 2 foot wave in Santa Monica knocked me down. I panicked and nearly called for help, but then all I had to do was stand up.
The Washington Post has not yet interviewed me about my surfing prowess.
