"For a very simple reason," Jesus replied.
"Man's love of power is far greater than his love of peace."
"So he distorts the truth," added Jesus, "To scare people and justify his violent actions, actions which only lead to more violence."
"What can we do to bring peace," I asked Jesus. "It's hard for me to say," came the reply, "considering I got nailed to a cross for my efforts."
"But I will tell you this," said Jesus.
"Each person can live a life of peace. Peace is a choice. And when enough people live peacefully and not respond to calls for war, peace on earth will prevail."
