Hoping to own a home, Susan worked hard and saved her money. But always, the beautiful homes she wanted were too expensive.
Then one day she sat with her grandmother, and said, "Grandma, I wish I could have a home as beautiful as yours."
To which the older woman smiled and replied, "Sweetheart, this home was not always so beautiful."
"Your grandfather and I did not have the money to buy what others called, 'a beautiful home' so we bought what we could afford."
"At first we cleaned. Then as time passed, we planted flowers, we painted, and humbly decorated with our own special touches as our home became an expression of our love."
"The magic ingredient that makes any home beautiful is love, for in its unmistakable glow, it touches the hearts of others."
