In a recent excavation in Pompeii, a city that was buried
in volcanic ash in 79 A.D. a fresco of what looks like a pizza was uncovered.
What is striking about this fresco is that mozzarella cheese had not been created yet, nor had tomatoes from South America yet been discovered.
In addition, archaeologists believe this pizza was delivered cold, and that the kid who delivered it still demanded a tip. No confirmation yet from Domino’s.
