The First Corvette Speeding Ticket

Yesterday was the 72nd anniversary of the first Corvette sports car rolling off the production line in Flint, Michigan in 1953.

According to our fable this Corvette was bought by 18-year-old Marty “Madman” Munoz who 10 minutes after buying it became the first Corvette owner to be ticketed for speeding.

As a result, his parents took his car keys away for a month.

But life has changed greatly since 1953, although not everything.

Yesterday, 90-year-old Mr. Munoz driving this same Corvette was again ticketed for speeding.

As a result, his parents again took his car keys away for a month.

Added his father, "That boy just never learns."
